GetNet

GetNet began its activities in November of 2003 with the objective of offering the market a new solution in capturing information. As a pioneer in Brazil in the concept of N&SP (Network & Service Provider), in which a single piece of equipment has solutions of means of payment and electronic transaction authorization for credit, debit private label, co-branded and benefit/PAT cards, besides the recharging of prepaid telephony, electronic recharge of transportation tickets, banking correspondent, the consultation of banking and clearance information, among others.

The Project

GetNet is focused on intensifying its expansion throughout Latin America, to Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, besides Chile, where it already operates. Thus, the company has invested in an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) project to increase security and optimize its IT environment processes, the company’s main business area.

CIMCORP created the project, which consists of the updating of the company’s processing infrastructure and storage, as well as the IT environment monitoring and management. Most of the assets are the responsibility of CIMCORP.

A major differential is that all of the resources are contracted as one service, and therefore, are paid for monthly at a single price. The advantage of this concept is the agility as to the updates. Whenever there is the need, the process is simpler than if it were tied to a leasing contract. The updating is periodical and the GetNet environment is kept compatible with the changes in the company’s business.

“It is an interesting model, because it did not require a large initial investment, allowing for the capital to be allocated to other actions such as, the purchase of other companies. The predictability of the investments made is another strong point for IaaS, because it helps in the planning and organization of the IT services and allows the simulation of the capacity already installed, optimizing the existing resources "
