CIMCORP’s next target is the region in western Minas Gerais called Triângulo Mineiro CIMCORP, a provider in Information Technology (IT) solutions for the corporate market, with a branch in Savassi, a borough of Belo Horizonte, predicts it will repeat the excellent results recorded in 2009, with R$ 212,50 million in sales. For this year, the estimate is to expand business by at least 25%, and add gross revenue superior to R$ 265 million. Minas Gerais is the company’s largest market in the country, with a participation of 45%, moving approximately R$ 100 million. Amidst this positive scenario, Minas Gerais stands out as one of the states that invest the most in IT in Brazil. According to the commercial director of CIMCORP, Rogério Dias, the state is extremely strategic for the company’s business due to its industrial park, as well as the economic potential of various municipalities. He also recalled that during last year’s fiscal year, the company won a public bid to provide services for the State Government, an important client over the last few months. "The contract with the state government is of approximately R$ 100 million. The company will implement the computer and telephony network of the Administrative City, located in the Capital’s Northern Vector. Besides this, we already have several projects with companies from Minas Gerais”, he observed. In order to consolidate the company’s presence in Minas Gerais even further, the executive emphasized that CIMCORP will intensify business in strategic regions of the State. "Besides the region of the Triângulo Mineiro, we will optimize client service in Southern Minas Gerais and Vale do Aço (Steel Valley)." Bottleneck – However, the director emphasized that although the IT market has been going through a phase of ascension over the last few years. Growth is not greater due to a major obstacle: the lack of qualified labor. According to him, in order to overcome this scarcity, the company invests in the qualification of its employees. Altogether, the branch in Minas Gerais has 40 collaborators. Also according to Dias, this year alone, investments of R$ 1 million for the training of young talents as well as trainees and interns will be made. Altogether, CIMCORP has offices in the main states of the country, including São Paulo (headquarters), Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Espírito Santo, Santa Catarina, besides service channels throughout the entire Northern and Northeastern regions. Among the company’s main clients in the state are: Fiat Vehicles (Fiasa), Energy Company of Minas Gerais (Cemig), Magnesita Refractory, Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (Cefet-MG), Vivo, among others.
