Minas Gerais Regional Labor Court invests in virtualization to ensure high availability

A CIMCORP project has consolidated the institution’s servers, making room for a new site redundancy service, which will allow simultaneous updates and the end of unavailability and loss of information risks. At the end of 2006, the high number of accesses to the server and the presence of a single data center centralizing the entire server and storage infrastructure for production systems, accessed by the Regional Labor Court of Minas Gerais as well as by several Labor Circuit Courts, began to cause disorder and important services of the institution became paralyzed. In order to solve this problem, CIMCORP, a company specialized in services of high complexity, performance optimization and IT infrastructure management, had the winning bid opened by the government of Minas Gerais. CIMCORP’s challenge was to increase the level of availability of the data center, guaranteeing the continuity of access to the various systems being produced. The success of this implementation opened the way for other projects, as in the case of site redundancy, a service that will be implemented by June of this year.
